Thanks for sharing your experience!

Yes, I thought as much. I haven't taken the jump to learn Scheme/Guile
itself yet, but I will in the future. I just wanted to see some example
configurations so I can "bootstrap" myself into configuring Guix. That
way, I can configure my system without having to learn a whole new
programming language first :)
