Sorry, Gerald, this was meant for the list!

I haven't used OpenGL, but like most of us, I have compiled and run the
demos - why is OpenGL/Mesa behind DirectX?

What would this mean? I have to catch up in order to be of use to the
kernel developers (that is my problem, of course).
But what kind of features would have to be incorporated into the kernel?
What would these features mean for the 'rest' of the system?
The Pentium Pro has some extra instructions for multimedia support,
couldn't this be solved by a 'multimedia-driver'?
A general-purpose kernel, as small and higly optimized as possible, with
tightly programmed queue functions - wouldn't it be bad to add stuff in
there (if that is what you are implying)?

And to everyone: Please direct me to the doc that explains the word
'port' and 'server'.

Can I start looking at my 0.2 source tree to learn stuff, or has it
changed too much?

What is the name of the file(s) that contain(s) the microkernel?

Thanx, Atle
