It works on UNIX, DOS, various Windows platforms (Windows32), Amiga, and
OpenVMS.

I don't know all the different variants of UNIX it runs on, but
obviously all the major ones--there's very little in GNU make that would
cause portability problems.  It even still compiles with traditional K&R
C compilers :).
