I agree, after quickly looking at the services provided. But 
can we just simply use the Google API with RESTful service 
calls? It looks like they recognize that we'll want to 
integrate existing app domains with their app features:

There may be redundancy there but it looks like they are 
persueing a higher level of abstraction while providing an 
API interface. Like integrating their apps/services instead 
of letting people roll their own apps within the Google 
domain. But that may be coming. Google plugin apps? My brain 
hurts. ;p
