I think what I had done the day before was to try setting things up locally, then made a bunch of changes throughout the day using the online editor, and then tried to start over on my local version by clobbering the local directory and running heroku clone <myapp>. I just found the little revisions>> doodad on the online editor, so clearly that needs to be used in the future. At any rate, I think I have things in sync now, and spent last night pushing out lots of edits using TextMate and Terminal. Truly awesome - so nice to be able to work like this!
