In the process of securing my Heroku-based app, I've started using
Zerigo's free DNS service. I added the zergo_dns:basic add-on using
Heroku and subsequently did:
% heroku domains:add secure.mysite.com
% heroku ssl:add final.crt site.key
% heroku addons:add ssl:hostname
Heroku duly sent me an e-mail with the
Your SSL endpoint for 'mysite' is now configured and ready on
Heroku.
To use it, please create CNAMEs for any hostnames you wish access
via
SSL, pointing them to:
Your DNS address is:
appid123456herokucom-1234567.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com
So, the $64,000 question is: how do I set up the CNAMEs? I never
actually registered with Zerigo (it appears that Heroku did that for
me), and when I tried to register, Zerigo told me that 'mysite.com'
was already registered.
Now what?
