So I was all excited to get some cheap cardboard to make some real sized mock ups of different hexayurts. I figured it was easier then insulation board and the cost was also great. Last time I was at Blick Art Store it was about $3 for a 4 X 8 foot sheet. I get there and they no longer carry that size, D'oh!!! 40" X 60" is the only size they have now. So 3 stores later and a quick net search and now my $3 sheets are $8 each + S/H
I am asking if anyone knows of cheap cardboard in 4 X 8 sheets. I may have to buy smaller and use lots more tape. 4' X 4' would work too if it was cheap enough. I am going to research thru the archives as well for Honeycomb Cardboard. The insulation alternative. I would like to get started early on BM shelters for this year. Having cardboard would allow greater creativity for the outside. 08 BM hexayurts(mine included) were very 'space age' and not very fun looking on the outside. Full Murals on the outside would have been much cooler. The roof should definitely be Mylared for heat reflection.
