Not at all. The stick frame ensures that the hexauyurt will remain
standing for a long time.
I mean if you are talking a temporary "party" like Burning Man, then
yeah I guess tape is the only way to go.
It fits right in with rampant throwaway society. No biggie.

A wood frame like mine weighs 168 pounds. It can also pack flat.
If you can pack an extra person, you can pack a frame like this.

Of course, for just one time BM happy camping and fluff uses like that
it's "overkill".

I'm trying to take this a step further. It's way outside the box of
Burning Man I guess.
