Until someone can come up with something less flammable, I think we're
all stuck in the position of taking *some* risk.

I spend many weekends in un-treated cotton or linen canvas tents
 among others doing the same.  We cook over open fires and carry
lanterns and torches. A few of us even (*gasp!*) use candles inside out
rents. In all my years of doing this, the number of emergencies due to
tents burning has been very low.  In the single digits.

We know the risks and we accept them.

Now for the Hexayurt designs, these may well be deployed to people who
are not aware of the risks and would need to be educated.  I'd love to
see a simple, pictorial sign indicating "No Open Flames" which could be
affixed to the outside wall near the door.

Just a thought.
