I think I would feel comfortable with 1". Not sure about 3/4" but I believe I have read of people using it. The furniture/bed/cooler against the walls is always the way I go, not just for space reasons but for support, regardless of thickness. I think the 3/4" would benefit from that practice more.
I don't see typical heavy wind breaking any of this down...maybe drunks falling into it when they trip over your tie lines could break a 3/4"? I am using 1.5" Rmax now and I am quite comfortable with it. I haven't tried it out there (previously had 2" and 3") but the design is what makes it work so well. Once it is taped together it is amazing. I also take the time and expense to Tape all the INSIDE walls and ceiling joints after it is up, just to make sure. I've been through some of the worst Black Rock can deliver and only loose chairs, etc. flying into the panels caused any damage at all. Just nicks, which i immediately cover with more tape. Bring an extra panel if you can, just in case someone rides a bike through it. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group.
