I have been making masks (venetian) for last few months (for BM) using diluted
white glue and paper from old phone books. Because of my experiences with
such, I would highly recommend using something other than white glue for
waterproofing! Even painting these well dried masks caused them to become
weak and flexible until the paint dried and I could only imagine rain
destroying their structural integrity.
