Ken, thanks for the reply: When I wintered up in the mountains west of Capitan we had cougar and bobcat who laid claim to the area. It was not not uncommon to see their tracks in the snow drifts around my RV, or, for me to hear the sudden thud on my roof of four paws after dark. The mighty little bobcat can jump ten feet up in the air from a standing position. That winter 70 mph wind gusts for days and nights on end might make Hexayurt impossible for my location. The last time I tent camped up on my little piece of mountain there were bears in my camp, and on that trip I had a tent, and luckily Mr. Browning. This may not work for my situation, but I will forward this info to our growing numbers of homeless in this country that are pretty much going ignored. I have friends and even family living in these tent cities. They get out daily and find work so they are able to buy their own materials and refuse to accept money from me.
Take care, God bless and, have a nice day:) RoadScribe ScribeCave.com "The austerity storm is here.
