Yay! Yes, just to confirm, I spent a while on the phone with Amir
Jafari who helped a friend build a yurt in Vancouver recently, and
according to him, "beveling, mitering etc is not necessary at all, as
long as you use the Camp Danger Hinge Technique". Their yurt was fine
without the beveling/mitering, but they did build it with the
bidirectional filament tape, which is the ideal way to go apparently.
We are also not interested at all in battling for longer than
necessary with wind and dust on the playa while we build. Simply
pointless especially with having the Danger hinge technique and plenty
of bidi fil tape. FYI we finished our H13 model last night, it looks
ok actually given I cut it out of cardboard and used masking tape
(sucks!). We're building the H13 yurt itself today, and will be
camped at 7:30 and E, right next to the group "Camp New Year's Eve".

Thanks for all the videos, postings and pdfs Julie! You seriously
rock.
