Hi Guys, I'm looking for a quick / cheap roof vent for my 6ft hexayurt. I've had a read through some previous posts but didn't find a definitive solution. I'm not going to build a swamp cooler (maybe next year..), so I either want to go for something completely passive, or maybe a solar powered vent. I already have an opposing window / door but want something that'll work day and night to take the heat down an extra degree or two.
I've read about this one: http://www.amazon.com/Solar-Roof-vent-Shed-Greenhouse/dp/B00884ZDT8/ref=?ie=UTF8&m=A39TS44LGVW16B, where some people recommend it but others say its no good. I'm guessing that it might just work for a 6ft yurt as the internal air volume is fairly small. As for passive vents, I realise that the 6ft roof triangle dimensions limit roof vent options. I've seen a number of vents on 8ft yurts which look like off-the-shelf numbers from Home Depot. Can anyone chip in with any experience or advice on this? I'd like something off-the-shelf or with minimal construction for under $50 if possible. Cheers, Pete -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "hexayurt" group.
