Peel n' stick foam under the walls. Clever.

Last year I went with the green painters tape. It went on, stayed on
all week, and came off easily – no cutting necessary. I've used the
blue stuff in prior years and it was fine, too.

Starting with wide tape (2"+) makes for less waste. When I tried using
anything narrower, I had to put down multiple swaths.
