When I organized a hexayurt build day in 2007 we used a band saw with an improvised extra-long panel guide set for one set of the angled cuts, and a table saw for the other set of angled cuts. The band saw produced much less dust due to the thinner blade, but either would work. We were cutting 1.5" panels which are more than thick enough. If and when I build another hexayurt I plan on going with 1" panels because it cuts down on the size of your yurt stack considerably, and I don't think the loss of insulation is that big of a deal. If you're using 1" panels cutting the joint angles isn't as necessary from what I've heard.
