Dylan, that's a great idea, thanks.

I was perhaps trying too hard to make it fit the 8 x 4' block to consider
an overhang.

My initial thoughts are that it makes more sense to build it your way,
with a vent on underside at thinner wedge end & a strip window on other
side to help up light the storage space. Maybe an angled / mirrored strip
device on the ouside wall could be used to reflect more light upwards into
roof space, through the window.

Subsequently, from a link via Vinay Gupta mentioning Houslets
<https://angel.co/houslets>. I notice a modular roof design similar to
what i propose. From their drawing, it does not seem to have an overhang or
a small triangle piece, so I am not sure if they are using 8x 4 ' size
sheets or a mezzanine. I have contacted them re: this thread .

Vinay suggested my metalclad design beams
<http://www.instructables.com/id/Clad-Composite-Beam-From-Waste/> could
possibly be used as grid beam, which I believed Houslets are using similar
for frames.
