It was recently suggested that players in Europe are not interested in US events and vice-versa. I believe this to be incorect as I often meet US and Canadian players at French festivals. I would love to sample the US scene, unfortunatly any British musician wanting to work in the USA, or merely get through immigration with a musical instrument is given a hard time. This is why many Irish folk bands with English members have to use a dep on US tours; apparently according to the current US administration's Stalinist immigration policy English musicians are potential terrorists while Irish ones are not.
Anyway, keep the information coming because when things get better I for one would love to get over.
