We're having a bit of a 'do' and feast, for those who wish to be diverted
from the usual Christmas nonsense, places are going and the main ad isn't out yet!

Fee = £95

A medieval festival at Trehawsa for any instruments who'se origins lay in
the middle ages and who can play in G or D! Arrive weds 27th (evening) for
dinner and introduction to instruments for those loaning them, and first
rehearsal. Sheet music will be supplied but anyone with a good ear will
pick the tunes up easily! Thursday 28th, rehearsing arrangements of
medieval tunes in groups according to instruments and tuning, and mass
playthrough of ensemble music! 7pm Medieval banquet in the Great Hall (in
costume!) followed afterwards by a concert of medieval music and a chance
to participate in the ensemble pieces. Then Medieval dancing with tuition
and more music late into the night.
Friday 29th late, bagpipe-free, breakfast for survivors, depart before
lunchtime!

Some lap harps and bagpipes available for loan, please enquire! Other
instruments suitable: Celtic harps, bagpipes, bowed psalteries, hurdy
gurdys, recorders, flutes, whistles, hammer dulcimers, guitars (only if
played in classical or 'lute' style) fiddles & cellos or preferably rebecs
and viols! Please enquire if you're not sure about your instrument!! Some
accomodation available at Trehawsa, other B&B available locally, free
overnight parking for caravans/campervans, free indoor communal camping
for the insane.
