Yes, I have...  I THINK that each soundpost effictively works as a
bridge would on a conventional instrument. These would transmit the
sound to the upper soundboard (left of wheel), and so soundhole
placement (on the left side of the wheel)  may be influenced, by
that... 
I'm thinking they probably are in the right places, but ( between my
translation of Gotschy and some other things,) I'm trying to find
something on equations for optimal soundhole placement: I may have to,
as Alden suggest, go back to college and major in Physics.

Also the cantilevered, or "flying" tangent box has gotten some good
"press", but I haven't gotten to play with it yet.

I would like to make a bunch of rectangular boxes, fit them with a
wheel and strings and make incremental changes in each one and see what
I get...but when?

So ,in answer to your question, yes I've thought about it, but no, I
don't have anything to share yet.
