Hello? Well tob e quite frank I have... Because I made the first HG's almost without any drawings, and because I wasn't aware of soundholes under the keybox, I made some without ... Later on I changed this and then the sound becomes more open and direct. Before the sound has the same volume but is more mellow more mixed and less direct. However the effect must not be overestimated it is somehow comparable with sympathetic strings its very well possible to omit them but they give some extra... For an instrument to be played outside or in consort I would recommend to try without... Marc Reymen
