On a regular piano keyboard, the accidentals are ³in front of² the naturals; the HG¹s layout is that the accidentals are the first thing your hand hits, which is the opposite of piano layout. I think this is what Chris is trying to make happen: that the accidentals are, in effect, ³above² the naturals in this HG. Basically, the HG keybox is like a piano keyboard, seen from below, so perhaps imagining it this way will make more evident Chris¹ reasons for wanting to try this setup.
