Talking about cases, I have searched a couple of times for a maker who does
work with light materials like carbon or glass fiber, unsuccessfully. Any
ideas? Anyway I guess the price for such a custom-made case would be really
high.

I dont know whether Savage and Hoy is still in existance.  I suspect not.
The name was bought by Graham Spencer, who designed and built the bulbous
'submarine' type hurdy gurdy cases that Chris Eaton used in the
1980-1990's.
I have an old address that you could try.  I've not supplied the telephone
number, since that number is no longer connected (which makes me doubt
whether this address will work either).
