Thanks so much for everyone's input on rauschpfeifes. I have another
question. Does anyone know anything about John Hanchett - the English shawm
maker? Any experience with his instruments? Please email me directly so as
not invoke the ire of the listmaster.
Actually, the goal here is to play HG- shawm/rauschpfeife duets so it
really does relate. Those noisy reed instruments sound great with my loud
and deep HG - the HG takes the edge of the reed instrument and the reed
sharpens the melody of the HG. Like peanut butter and jelly! (metaphor for
the Americans on this list -)
