Hi Leonard,
I made mine from a single piece of wood (some are laminated)
2mm thick. It has a slight tendency to straighten which keeps it snug.
Has the advantage of being very light.
The groove that the ends sit in are angled to match the cover,
a very small angle, almost 90 degree.
I have seen a small pin on one or both of the feet to fit in small holes
in the cover and also a suggestion that a small strip if sandpaper
be glued to the foot but I'm not sure either are needed.
Ceertainly mine stays on very well.
