thanks Leonard. I dont think any of us frown on getting new tunes. Although
i do have more tunes than i could possibly ever play in 3 lifetimes.
For those not familiar with abc notation, an easy way to convert to dots is
www.concertina.net , click on tun-a-tron, then ABC convertomatic (really
this isnt a joke)
cut and paste the abc into the window, click submit and presto, you have a
tune.
For more info on abc, go to Chris Walshaw;s site
http://www.walshaw.plus.com/abc/
he also has links to tune search engines and collections of all kinds of
trad tunes, irish english french italian etc.

Subject: [HG] A Volta in abc
Greetings listers--
I have pasted below a tune in abc format for those who use the
program. This volta is actually from a collection of pieces for lute in
tablature. I've transcribed it in its original key (F), though I
transpose
it to G for my instrumnent using "-tG" in the command line.
I hope this practice is not frowned upon!
Enjoy,
Leonard Williams
