Thanks for the information. I may try stringing my Balázs Nagy gurdy this way. It's certainly not a push-over either...

I don't know how this stringing would work on another instrument, but we were really pleased with how the Chinook sounded with it. It really works with the
resonance of the instrument.

What one doesn't get from the sample is the volume - the Chinook really makes
it presence known with authority.  ;-)
