Thank you for all of the replies and the warning against the kit-built
instruments. I am looking into the builders suggested as well as HurdyGurdy
Crafters (who made an introduction on the list at about the same time I
posted my query.

I will gladly pursue any other suggestions (likewise warnings).

I appreciate the groups willingness to offer help.
