I do not have Gurdy yet, but as I am occasionally a machinist, I think I have something to offer here. If you are looking for general hardware, a source that I use regularly is McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/ The shipping is reasonable and there is no minimum order. You can order by email, but I usually call it in. And they have, basically, everything. You can get bushing bearings or delrin stock to make your own, ground finish steel rods that are dead true in stainless or tool steel or case-hardened shafts if you know what to do with them, etc. Roger
