Does the composer know what a HG is? I wonder...

Yeah, there are capos for the drones that would enable such changes, and I
have seen one of them weird gurdies with a third row of keys for some
harmony, but those are few and far between...

A major? Wouldn't that suit a tekero more than a French gurdy with default
stringing?
