hello, I never ever use metal strings on a Hg Even not silver wound "cello" strings for the bourdons. Up to me they are less flexible and although some expect them to be "louder" i don't like there sound because they blend much more difficult into each other whitch is for me required for a good sound... maybe someone else has an other opinion... marc ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike bloom To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, April 09, 2008 11:01 AM Subject: [HG] Metal strings for HG
I asked a while ago about using metal strings for HG, I don't know if my question was lost or maybe no one uses them, some where I heard, I can't remember where, that Spirocore [?]strings work for chanterelles, but I would like to try them on the bourdon too.
