The Kelly article comes up from time to time and there is some good information there. One or two things to avoid are using the wooden block pressed against your wheel for smoothing out the rosin. YMMV but you will void the warranty on our instruments if you do this. There is just too much possibility for damage. Use a clean cotton cloth instead. Also I am not really keen on the string recommendations. Go with whatever your luthier recommends or if you don't know who built your instrument talk to any of the reputable builders on the list and ask for their suggestions for your scale length.
