Hello all-
My wife and I are planning a "little" jaunt to the UK - we'll be
there for some of June and almost the entire month of July. Actually
we'll be in Scotland for most of it, but we are planning a week-long
(give or take) excursion down the west coast of England as far as
Bristol in the late part of June into July. We won't be carrying any
instruments with us, but we are interested in investigating any
hurdy-gurdy or French music events, or any other kind of music
events, for that matter! So if anyone has any suggestions for that
week, or the rest of July in Scotland, I sure would appreciate it.
Also, since I'm already here, does anyone have advice for me about an
inexpensive way of obtaining a mobile (cell) phone that we could use
during our trip? Can you just go out and buy a cheap phone and a sim
card and expect it to work all over the UK (within reason, of course,
provided there is any coverage at all in some areas)?
Hurdy-gurdy suggestions would probably be of interest here; please
contact me *off list* if you have any suggestions about the phone, or
if you have any non-hurdy-gurdy related activities to suggest...
