Rasulullah bertanya kepadanya, lalu dia menceritakan bahawa dia telah kahwin dengan seorang wanita Ansar. Rasulullah bersabda, "Berapa engkau berikan mas kahwinnya?". Dia menjawab, "Emas sebesar biji kurma." Rasulullah saw bersabda, "Adakanlah pesta perkahwinan, walaupun dengan seekor kambing."
