INTRODUCTION
Parenting is one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences. Joy and
pain thrown into one, the need to rise to its demands and expectations is
crucial now more than ever.
As Muslims, parenting is a trust placed upon us, which must be carried out with
great care and responsibility. This trust can only be fully realised when armed
with knowledge. Parenting isn’t a skill we are born with. It is an acquired
skill that has to be learnt and applied. And just like other skills, practice
makes perfect.
At the Khalifah Institute, we offer parenting courses at basic (Level 1) and
advanced levels (level 2). This advanced level is meant to further enhance the
parents’ knowledge and ease its application. The various lectures covered in
this level will give parents a deeper understanding and perspective of life and
its mechanisms. Parents will be equipped to answer perennial questions like,
“Are we really descendents of apes?”
“Which one do I follow, my head or my heart?” “How do I reward my child in a
way that it doesn’t become predictable?”
It is time we give parenting the attention it deserves. Let us take it to the
great heights it is meant to be. Invest in this knowledge and Insha Allah you
will reap the rewards.
Parenting is an art and its mastery is well within all of us.
Objectives:
1. To understand the creation of Allah’s physical world leading up to
the creation of Khalifah of Allah.
2. To better understand the Laws of Learning by which Allah has allowed
all human characteristics to be developed.
3. To fully understand the struggle of good vs. evil in order to
successfully fulfil our roles as Khalifah of Allah.
4. To relate the knowledge on the Laws of Learning to Islamic psychology
5. To enable the participants to have sufficient information to further
disseminate this knowledge, in our ongoing endeavour toward a fully and truly
Islamic world.
