[HippoCMS-dev] Tomcat 6 and saving document in the Hippo CMS

Hello Hippos,
 
I am currently running the repository and cms in tomcat  version 6.0.14. 
When i save a document in the CMS, it's type is set to "application|xml". While 
it should be "text|xml". 
When the cms and repos were running in jetty, it's type was set correctly to 
"text|xml"!
 
Does anyone know why this happens and how to solve it?
 
I also noticed that the character encoding goes wrong. When i put the following 
string in a document: 
ÙÚÛÜÝàáâãäåæçèéêëìñöùúûŌōijŭŬǍńńÇçĘęĢĶķĻļŅĮŗŖņŞşŢţųŲŒœǼǽǾΩѕ€ 
it's saved in the MySQL database as ÙÚÛÜÝà 
áâãäåæçèéêëìñöùúûŌōijŭŬǍńńÇçĘęĢĶķĻļŅĮŗŖņŞşŢţųŲŒœǼǽǾΩѕ€
 
Could this maybe be caused because of the "application|xml" type?
