Hello Hippos,
I am currently running the repository and cms in tomcat version 6.0.14.
When i save a document in the CMS, it's type is set to "application|xml". While it should be "text|xml".
When the cms and repos were running in jetty, it's type was set correctly to "text|xml"!
Does anyone know why this happens and how to solve it?
This can have multiple reasons. You could try to set the mime type
explicitly in the web.xml (although i'm not a tomcat expert).
I also noticed that the character encoding goes wrong. When i put the following string in a document:
ÙÚÛÜÝàáâãäåæçèéêëìñöùúûŌōijŭŬǍńńÇçĘęĢĶķĻļŅĮŗŖņŞşŢţųŲŒœǼǽǾΩѕ€
it's saved in the MySQL database as ÃÃÃÃÃà áâãäåæçèéêëìñöùúûÅÅijÅŬÇÅÅÃçÄÄĢĶķĻļÅ
Ä®ÅÅÅÅÅŢţųŲÅÅǼǽǾΩÑâ¬
Could this maybe be caused because of the "application|xml" type?
I could.. but then again it also could very well be something different.
Things you can look for are jdbc settings (explicitly set the encoding)
and database encoding settings.
Also keep in mind that the data can look different when you look
directly into the database.

Bart
