Hi Ross, I suspect this is a bug in types.xsd, the category attribute on the resource element is simply missing in the schema. However, you can still use the functionality like you did before, it didn't change AFAIK. See http://hippocms.org/display/CMS/Using+different+types+per+folder for more details.
