Thanks for the tip. Using "The Unarchiver" does unzip the application better. The cms now starts up and on "http://localhost:50000/" the login page is shown. After providing the credentials "root" and "password" I am redirected to "http://localhost:50000/logincontinue".
However on that page there is only the message from cocoon: "Sorry, Cocoon couldn't find the resource you requested." Looking in the logs directory i see the "error.2008_06_04.log" is empty. The "2008_06_04.request.log" contains the message: ""POST /logincontinue HTTP/1.1" 404 848" The "fortress.2008_06_04.log" contains warning messages: 2008-06-04 16:07:43.839 WARN fortress.system.roles.defaults Unable to load class org.apache.avalon.excalibur.datasource.JdbcDataSource. Does someone have a clue as to why the login does not work / have some suggestion for solving the problem?
