Using "The Unarchiver" does unzip the application better.
The cms now starts up and on "http://localhost:50000/"; the login page is
shown. After providing the credentials "root" and "password" I am redirected
to "http://localhost:50000/logincontinue";.

However on that page there is only the message from cocoon:
"Sorry, Cocoon couldn't find the resource you requested."
Looking in the logs directory i see the "error.2008_06_04.log" is empty.
The "2008_06_04.request.log" contains the message:
""POST /logincontinue HTTP/1.1" 404 848"
The "fortress.2008_06_04.log" contains warning messages:

Does someone have a clue as to why the login does not work / have some
suggestion for solving the problem?
