I noticed schema support is geeing added (HIVE-675) but as far as I can tell
there is no such thing as catalog's in hive right?

MySQL does not understand "schema", you have to use "catalog".
Oracle does not understand "catalog", you have to use "schema".
So it seems like it's more of a semantics thing. Since the other patch talks
about schema's perhaps that's what we should also call it?
