Ghafar: Umno needs a revamp MALACCA, Thurs. - Former Deputy Prime Minister Tun Ghafar Baba today said Umno needed to undergo a revamp to enable it to win back the parliamentary and State seats lost to the Opposition in the general election. Ghafar added that the revamp must be carried out immediately. "The number of young voters is increasing considerably compared to the old ones. Umno must adopt a more realistic and practical approach and strategy in its bid to woo the young." Umno leaders had no time to waste but go to the ground to avoid young people from being influenced by the opposition. The next general election could prove to be more challenging to the party, said the Umno veteran at a hotel here.
