Malaysia Anwar backers shout slogans, trial resumes
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 25 (Reuters) - About two dozen supporters of
Malaysia's
jailed former finance minister Anwar Ibrahim demonstrated on Tuesday
outside a courthouse as he arrived for the resumption of his sex trial
after a two-month break.
The protesters shouted "reformasi" (reform), the rallying cry for
Anwar's
anti-government movement, and thrust their fists into the air after
Anwar,
smiling and waving to photographers, entered the capital's High Court.
Police presence was light.
