Throw out the captain
PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad seems not to be able to free
himself from the haunting shadows of his former
deputy
Anwar Ibrahim after close to two years and we were
hearing
the swansongs again in the recent Umno general
assembly.
Funny thing is, he has no information, no knowledge
to say
in court, but beating the drum all over the world
from
PWTC. The man has no shame indeed, and so are the
people who let him hang to power, and that includes
us all.
Listening to the speeches doesn't give us much hope
for
the future (not much either from any of the MIC,
MCA or
any BN components' general assemblies anyway).
Nothing
intelligent was discussed except people-bashing and
blaming the opposition. No direction set, no
self-reflection
to see own weakness, absolute zero.
When the people in power are corrupted and evil,
the rich
don't care about the poor but just squandering
wealth
regardless of right and wrong, the poor do not pray
for the
country and are left on their own, the
knowledgeable are not
preaching truth but sit quietly fattening
themselves. As
such, God will destroy the nation.
How many civilisations in the past had been meted
out
punishments. How many great empires crumbled until
no
trace were found. And yet, we still think, it only
happens to
other people.
If we are to stand arms folded because the people
in other
cabins are drilling a hole into their own cabins
and it is
none of our business since we are able to sleep
soundly in
our cabins, this Titanic of ours will sink even
before we hit a
damned iceberg. Let's all rise up and throw the
captain and
his officers overboard before we go down the ocean.
