I'm one of the several knoda orphans waiting for a linux substitute. In the meantime I use it under slax - www.slax.org - a 250MB excellent distribution slackware-based that runs on a live CD or better yet on a usbstick . I've dedicated a 1 GB usbstick with slax 6.1.2 - based on slackware 12.2 - to the main purpose of running knoda. I've added to it some modules: mysql-5.0.67, python-2.5.2, pycairo-1.6.4, pygobject-2.15.4, pygtk-2.12.1, dbus-python-0.83.0 needed for koda and ghostscript-8.63, ghostscript-fonts-std-8.11 needed to use reports. The only linitation is that I cannot update these packages to newer versions. This is a portable and low cost solution to continue using knoda. By the way, I converted my database to MS-access. Knoda/mysql is better, particularly with reports and forms and use Linux. so I will wait to see if a new version of kexi forecasted to be part of koffice-2.2 could be a substitute. I have knoda running in MintLinux with a Gnome Desktop and KDE '3+' as required for knoda. Are you succeeding with KDE 4? I also run Kmymoney and they are moving over to KDE 4 so eventually I may need to run both versions of KDE. martin welsh ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Hk-classes-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hk-classes-discuss ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Hk-classes-discuss mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hk-classes-discuss
