Thank you for your answers. To be concrete I am looking for a HIS or a similar tool, which can handle QRY^R02-demands (i.e. query for clinical reports, see chapter 5 of HL7 standard). It has to be able to do a database query depending on the received HL7-message content and send back the results to HAPI (ORF^R04-response). I think 'HL7 Browser' has no DB at all. 'openMRS' and 'Tolven' are new for me, so they are worth a look.
'Interface Explorer for HL7' looks to be a very helpful tool, even it does not seem to have a DB-connection too. I have already downloaded and installed it and will be use it as a manual testing tool if no other options are available. Further ideas or helpful hints are still welcome.
