Yes. But it was not intended as a lesson or a teaching tool. I
said I included it "so he
could check it and see how the list was generated". Not to teach
him how the binary system works. I did not assume any level of
knowledge about the binary system on his side. If he has no clue
how it (or the code) works he can simply ignore it and just use
the list. If he has some knowledge he might be by the code clued
into something that he was overlooking. Or somebody like you could
have spotted an error in it and pointed that out. After all it was
a quick and dirty hack, written in five minutes. Just to use it
now and be done with. And to be short to fit nicely on one page of
an email without trying to win a prize in the IOCCC.
