>From what I've seen, PHL tends to post almost any news item from hosted
sites (those hosted by PHL) while not always posting news from other web
sites. Which is what you would expect. They get revenue from ads on their
hosted sites and get nothing from hits on other web sites. For major news
items (items sent in by well know companies or MOD teams) they will tend to
post those news items as well. For news items sent in by unknown MOD teams
or developers, it's pretty much a hit or miss thing depending on who happens
to read your e-mail and whether they feel it's "news worthy" or not. That's
just the way it is. They can't post every single news item sent to them by
everyone who pimps their web sites. They HAVE to pick and choose the dozen
or so items that will be posted each day.

Your best method of getting news out is to send your news items to MANY
different news sites (planethalflife.com, bluesnews.com, shacknews.com,
etc.) and hope that a least one of them will post your news. Also make sure
that if you are pimping your website you have plenty of content (not just
one or two screenshots and a brief description of your MOD). The more high
quality content you have on your website, the more likely one of the news
posters will treat you like a professional developer and will post your news
items.
