WARNING: please just read carefully... do it at your own risk. im not responsible if your computer doesnt work after this.
you could just go thru your control panel>systems/system properties>device manager (in win2k) select computer>Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) PC open its properties and go to the driver tab select update driver... go thru the wizard but... list the available drivers for this hardware and just select "standard computers" and the other box select "standard pc" continue with the install... and reboot or something.
