I got it, It wasn't anything wrong with the sprite it was my hud.txt
Halflife has the redraw code
draw the numbers of the health from number_0 + NUMBER in the hud.txt
list(the sprite index it loaded technically)
and number_o was the last sprite i had in the list, so I guess as opposed to
crashing(or a memory bug) it blitted the whole
sprite instead. Once i reordered the list it printed out my shoddy sprite
numbers, and my hud properly *of course the numbers were halfway inside the
hud sprite but at least i made the progress, and that's not actually a
problem* So thankyou
all for your help.

I am however having a problem with using SPR_DrawHoles and trying to blit my
alpha test sprite, No matter
what color i paint it from white to black and even pink, It won't make it
translucent ...i go into photoshop, edit the color
table and make the last entry the color ...and then use sprwiz *even used
buildspr* and it still doesn't make any of it
translucent, I'm in fact having even more problems with this new hud because
it seems to be lighting the map im using
extremely bright and hurting my eyes *may just be a bad map but i never
noticed it untill I started working with the hud* so
it's probably the sprite right ? but I'm not using additive im using
alphatest. *so so boggled* If anyone has any advice,
please feel free to let me know, this whole thing is going against
everything i've read about drawing with the sprites and
sprite types and such and it's rediculous. I hope i'm not the only one
that's ever experienced the problem hehe, and if you have any advice or
solutions for it please feel free to post, I'm not a happy camper in this
situation har har. Thankyou all ahead of time for reading my questions and
problems har har :)
