PHPAdmin v2 (win32) Released

Yes it is finally here! PHPAdmin version 2 (win32) has now been released to the
public. PHPAdmin has had a profound effect in the Server Admin community by providing
vital support to administrators to make their jobs that much easier. PHPAdmin,
initially just to keep track of bans, has moved into other areas which I think will
prove to be as useful/helpful as the original concept.

The win32 version of PHPAdmin 2 is now available for download in the Server Tools
section (http://www.checkyour6.net/index.php?act=phpadmin) of this website. The linux
version will be released shortly, but no definite date has been set for that release.
I will try to get the linux version out quickly so that people running linux can see
and experience the benefits of this great tool.

Don't know what PHPAdmin is? Here is just a sample of what it has to offer:

PHPAdmin was developed because there is an urgent need to provide a better way of
maintaining a server administrator's ban list. Currently, most server admins store
their permanently banned players using the banned.cfg, but anyone that has been
running a server for long time knows that the banned.cfg is extremely limiting. Which
one of your admins banned who? Who is 154672 (typically in the banned.cfg as: banned
0.0 154672) anyways? Manipulation of that list can be a big pain especially if you
have multiple servers. I don't know how many countless hours I have spent updating the
banned.cfg and at the same time, making sure that all the servers are running the same
banned list. Not to mention, all temporarily banned players are unbanned when the
server shuts down or crashes. There currently is no way to accurately track
temporarily banned players to make sure they serve their full sentence. PHPAdmin was
developed to address all those issues and at the same time to provide functionality to
make server administration an easier job. Is ban administration the only thing that
PHPAdmin does? Nope, it is only the beginning. Administration is available for
kicking, gagging, and reporting players as well. Plus much, much more!

So what exactly does PHPAdmin do?
PHPAdmin stores the ban list into a mySQL database and at the same time, provides
documentation to the length of the ban, which admin banned what player, and the reason
why the admin banned him. All ban actions immediately get placed into the database
real-time and are now viewable via a PHP webpage. Using a PHP web interface provides
the ability for all admins to access the system without being on the server and most
importantly, through any web browser at any location. Server admins can then do a
variety of functions such as, but not limited to: making a request to permanently ban
a player, request to remove a temporary/permanent ban, and perform a search in the
database to see who is currently banned.

New in version 2.0, similar functionality is now available for gagging players. You
now have the ability to temporarily or permanently gag players to stop them from
typing or changing their name. Gagging people that carry over even on disconnect?
Bonus!

Also in version 2.0, kicking players from the server is now recorded for your own
records. There is also a new feature in which the general public can report
assholes/cheaters to administrators for review.

Interested in the new features? Here is the changelog:
